The walk home from work last night
So...while channel surfing the other day Jenee happened across what has to be the funniest thing ever...
Japanese live action shows DUBBED IN KOREAN.
I cannot. I just can't.
It's too stinkin' funny.
Actually the show in particular that we found was Kamen Rider 000 (don't ask how I know that) and there are just no words to explain how hilarious the experience of watching this was.
Plus, we totally happened upon the finale of all things. And this happened:
By the way this is a disembodied hand that talks...
I really don't even know.
Something else that we frequently bust a gut watching is this lovely (show?) mini-series:
It's called Larva and it's apparently about these two things who have all this stuff happen to them and no one ever says a word so even if you don't know Korean you can still enjoy the utter ridiculous-ness of it all.
It's apparently supper popular here. Like, we've-seen-stuffed animals-in-claw-machines-for-these-guys popular.
Then, there is the infomercials. I'm telling you, commercials have never been so entertaining. This one plays all the time and we just get the biggest kick out of it:
I kinda sorta almost want one of these...
Anyway, today was the last day of work for us before our Chuseok holliday! YesfivedaysoffBOOM! Our school did a little event today for the kinder classes so all of the kids came dressed in traditional clothing.
So. Cute.
We also were asked to dress up so the teachers brought some extra outfits and helped us put them on. I have to say, the hanbok (traditional Korean "dress") is a lot more comfortable than a kimono, at least.
Each class got to do a "fashion show" and went up on the stage in the GYM to dance....of course the music they danced to was PSY so that was both horrifying and hilarious.
After school Jenee and I decided to hit up what has quickly become one of our favorite restaurants: The Frypan.
It's just chicken strips and potato chips (which are homemade and delicious) but it is some of the best I've ever tasted. So much yum!
Ahh I can't believe we ate all that!!
We'll we're pretty excited for these next few days! They are going to be packed full but you can expect to hear from me again soon!
View from the bridge we cross on the way home...
