The Packing Begins...

Eep! That's quite a scary sight, isn't it? This is my idea of packing - pile everything you're planning on bringing on top of your suitcases and hope that it all magically  organizes itself neatly inside before your departure.

Yup. Wistful thinking, that's me!

But really, this scares me - the amount of stuff I feel I need to absolutely bring to South Korea at all costs keeps adding up and my ginormous suitcases continue to look smaller and smaller...

And yes, I know...I'm not headed off to a third world country (though my recent trip to India has taught me a few things about packing...). Most of the necessities we have available here will also be available in Korea (except, randomly, deodorant. Why)?! I'm just paranoid. But also, I'm pretty sure I'll have a hard time finding clothes over there since everyone is so freaking skinny (I'm about average for my height here). This only increases my desire to pack. more. clothes.

Yeesh.

I'm holding myself back as best as I can though! I think I'm half-way through convincing myself that I only need to bring one pair of converse, though it breaks my heart to leave my other pair behind (I'll come back for you~ I promise)! I'm comforted by the fact that I do have small feet so finding shoes shouldn't be a problem.

So what has this packing experience taught me thus far?

I've decided that next time I resolve to move off to another country I'm going to pick a place that has ONE season. Packing will be so much easier that way. No need to prepare for crazy hot/wet summers and super freezing cold winters. How am I supposed to fit all that into two suitcases?!

I'm still laughing at the naïvety of earlier me: "How about we have one suitcase empty or with only stuff we won't be returning with so that we have room to bring stuff back?"

HA! HAHAHA! Nope. Not gonna happen.

I suppose I have three weeks to get it all figured out. Uge. It hurts my brain.

Toodles!
